This blog post is more of an announcement: I just shot my first wedding FILM!

I have been completely non-existent for the past few months because I’ve been learning, training, shooting, and editing a magical California wedding. Rebecca and Stephen’s story is one of pure serendipity and fascinating global experiences. These two Oxford scholars are insanely educated and specialize in clean water research (thanks for saving the planet!). They brought together an international group of interesting guests for a weekend full of love, nature, and party! Their adorable venue is called the Sequoia Retreat Center, nested in Ben Lomond close to the Bay Area in California. I loved how they used the natural beauty of the majestic Redwoods as their environment and backdrop. I was thrilled to be invited for the entire weekend and get to know their amazing families and friends. It was also wonderful to work with Kadi Tobin, their wedding photographer and my new friend. Everyone was intimately involved: Stephen’s sister greeted the day with a group yoga session, Rebecca and her friends hand folded all the paper cranes, her mother hand stitched the wedding dress, her sister baked the cake herself… even Stephen’s Navy background was incorporated into the festivities! And then there was me, with my little arms and giant gimbal, documenting a wedding in a way I never had before. Thank you guys so much for trusting me with this important task! I am super proud of the results and the path it has opened up for me since. The teaser for their wedding is featured in the videography section of my website. Please contact me directly if you would like a private link to view the full wedding film. Here are some of my favorite screen shots from the film:
