An iconic Eiffel Tower portrait session

Paris, France

Happy 2025 everyone!

There’s been a lot of content on social media with messages like “2024 was the year of transformation, 2025 will be the year of expansion.” I absolutely feel that! So many of us have been faced with numerous trials and tribulations this past year, and it’s been humbling to experience and witness that on a personal level. I’ve seen how miraculous the ripple effect of when a person steps into their truth and personal power and inspires those around to do the same.

To start the year on a meaningful tone, I’ve been waiting to share this heartfelt Paris portrait session featuring the woman who truly inspired me in 2024 - my beautiful little sister.

For those who don’t know me, my name is Jasna. I’m a destination wedding and portrait photographer, and recently had the opportunity to share my gifts with my little sister Diane, and her beloved partner Roman.

Diane and Roman are possibly the most remarkable young couple I know. Their love radiates with authenticity. Knowing them personally, I must admit I’m very impressed with their maturity, capacity for raw honesty, and desire for growth. Roman is the biggest sweetheart and absolutely perfect for my incredible sister.

(Yes, I’m totally gushing, but it’s not every day I get to celebrate my own family!)

To honor their connection, my partner Topher and I visited them in Paris where they live and captured some heartfelt moments in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower.

Doing a photoshoot with the Eiffel Tower in the background is possible from many places around Paris, but we focused on two of my favorites spots - the Trocadero, and a cute little street nearby. Not surprisingly, these locations also happened to be go-to destinations for many tourists, so we had to strategically work around the crowds. It was hard to give posing directions under these circumstances, but Diane and Roman easily understood the “be in love” assignment.

As the sun set and the Eiffel Tower started lighting up, we took some evening photos that turned out to be our favorite set. For those who don’t know, the Eiffel Tower "sparkles” for 5mins every hour on the dot and is worth sticking around for!

Paris is simply so beautiful at night, but sometimes a little chilly so we wrapped up our session before then and just enjoyed the light show before heading out for warm beverages.

Every wedding and portrait session we do is not just a collection of images, but precious memories shared with our couples. They get to look back on these moments and remember the fun they had, the confidence they felt, and the love they share. We feel so privileged to facilitate this kind of experience.

We look forward to all the beautiful couples and magical destinations we have in store for this new year!
