Bridals in Barcelona

Luna

Barcelona, Spain

It is undeniable that Barcelona is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Among its striking architecture, history, culture, art, and nature, Barcelona stands as a dream destination and a place I was lucky to call home for a couple years.

I’m a destination wedding photographer, and I recently had the privilege of returning to this captivating Spanish city to shoot bridals for one of my dear friends, Luna.

Luna had originally asked me to capture some images of her and her husband, Xavi, for their ten years marriage anniversary. Unfortunately, Xavi ended up getting tied up with work and couldn’t make it!

But lovely Luna, with her charming positive spirit, decided not to cancel the shoot and celebrate some “self-love” instead. She got dressed in her old wedding dress (which she was delighted still fit her) and we ventured out to the stunning Gothic Quarter for an incredible portrait session.

Luna looked absolutely exquisite, and effortlessly fit into the charming backdrops of the historic city. We mainly walked around the winding streets near the Cathedral, my favorite area to shoot in. The color palette and aesthetic of Catalan art and design was an ideal playground for photography. We could have easily kept going all day!

Shooting bridals in Barcelona comes with its own set of challenges, especially navigating bustling tourist spots and historically significant areas. However, these were seamlessly transformed into opportunities to craft unique shots. With meticulous planning, flexibility, and a knowledge of the city's hidden gems, I was able to navigate these hurdles and create a series of photographs that look timeless.

Needless to say, Luna was thrilled with the results. Her elegant beauty was amplified in the heart of this enchanting city. The images we captured transcended the realm of ordinary photography, as if telling the tale of a princess becoming a queen. Both Luna and Barcelona were my muse that day.

If you’re considering getting married in Barcelona, I would jump on a plane in a heartbeat to meet you there! There are so many other vibrant parts of the city that I’d love to show you.

Through a deep appreciation for local culture, I strive to capture not only a couple’s love but also the essence of the place itself. Feel free to check out some of my destination weddings and get in touch if I can help immortalize your story!
